Weald Deanery Events

Weald Deanery is part of the Diocese of Canterbury and is situated in the Weald of Kent - the Garden of England.

The Weald Deanery comprises the Churches of:-

St. Dunstan's Church, Cranbrook

St. Mary the Virgin's Church, Goudhurst with Christ Church, KILNDOWN

St. Laurence's Church, Hawkhurst

St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Headcorn

St. Michael and All Angels Church, Marden

Trinity Church, Sissinghurst with St. Mary's Church, Frittenden

All Saint's Church, Staplehurst

The Area Dean is The Reverend Canon Gill Calver, Rector of All Saints Staplehurst and Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen.

The Deanery Synod comprises members of the clergy of the constituent parishes, and lay members elected at their Annual Parochial Church Meeting to serve for 3 years. The Lay Chair is Mrs. Val Wallis, MBE. The Deanery is also represented at the Diocesan Synod.

The Deanery Synod normally meets 3 times a year, rotating round the parishes, in February, June and October, with additional meetings if there is a need.

World Aids Day Service Aids Red Ribbon

Monday 1st December in the Crypt of Canterbury Cathedral at 8.00 p.m.

Steve Bennett from Dulwich Preparatory School, Cranbrook will be leading the music with pupils from the school.

Lord Norman Fowler, previously a Secretary of State for Health and more recently a trustee of the Terrence Higgins Trust, will be speaking; and the Revd Professor Robin Gill, (University of Kent) will be preaching.

Canterbury Diocese together with Christian Aid invites you to join others, to stand alongside those living with HIV.
