Gift Day 2010

Please read on to find out how you can and why you may want to support your Parish Church.
East End of Staplehurst Church

Information About your Parish Church

This is an ancient building - it has been the spiritual heart of this community for 900 years.

We are a living vibrant community - still serving our community both within and without the church walls.

For 100's of years we have baptised, married and buried the people of this Village. We do so now and hope that we can continue to do so in the future. Today our ministry includes visiting our nursing homes and those who are sick in hospital or at home.

Church members support and are involved with many other local organisations including the parish council and especially our local schools.

Please support your Parish Church on Saturday the 2nd October so your church can continue to support you.

Dear Friends,

How fortunate we are to have such a beautiful Parish Church, which serves its village in so many ways.

There can be few people in the village who have not visited it, or benefited from its ministry in some way over the years.

What many people do not realise is that all that we do has to be funded locally.

There are no grants from Diocese or the state as in some other countries.

At present we are finding it hard to make ends meet, so if you could make a contribution to keep our church serving the village, now and in the coming years, it would be wonderful.

We are holding a Gift Day on Saturday the 2nd of October, in the Church between 2pm and 5pm. Please come along and take the opportunity to look around this wonderful building and have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee and perhaps enjoy a cream tea.

We have produced a Gift Day Information Leaflet which you can download. Please have a read through it and if you have any questions, pop along to the church for a chat. We hope that you can support the church during this Gift Day and the leaflet contains a Gift Day Response Form.
